I just got home and I'm off again.

I just had the most amazing time at convention and can't wait to share the wonderful projects that were featured; however, it's going to have to wait. We are off to Spain and yes we will be visiting Bilbao. Our home base will be Elorrio which is shown above. I am sure I will be going through major stamping withdraw but will make up for it upon my return.
Adios!

SSS64 - Birthday Bakery

This card uses one of the many Hostess Sets you can earn by hosting a workshop. This Birthday Bakery stamp set is so fun and versatile. I have paired it with the new Play Date DSP and love the fun bright colors in this paper. I added a little sparkle to the cakes with dazzling diamonds glitter and a bit of shine and dimension with Crystal Effects. The layout is from The Sweet Stop a great site to visit for layout inspiration.

Paper - Play Date DSP, tempting turquoise, real read, whisper white, so saffron card stock

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 58 - Aviary

I am so excited about all the new stamps and papers from the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. After a week's vacation in Washington, I couldn't wait to try my new items. I turned to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for inspiration for a layout. Each week SSW comes up with such cute sketches to try for your paper craft projects. I thought this sketch worked perfectly for my project where I just had to pair Aviary and Nursery Suite Designer Series Paper.

One of the stamps that just leaped off the page for me was the new Aviary set.  I had to have this one and adore this little owl. I paired Aviary with Nursery Suite DSP and a bit of Playground DSP. When looking at our Designer Series Papers, I always look at both sides. I will most likely never use the bunny images from Nursery Suite series, but I love the color combinations and modern look of the graphic designs. I knew, even though I don't have a need for baby themed items, I would get much use from this paper. So alway be sure to look at the graphic designs and color combinations on all the Designer Series Papers. The flip side may be just what you love.

Stamps - Aviary, Teeny Tiny wishes
Ink - old olive, regal rose, chocolate chip, baja breeze
Paper - Nursery Suite DSP, Playground DSP, chocolate chip, regal rose, pear pizzaz, whisper white card stock
Accessories - circle and scallop dies, word window punch, certainly celery ribbon, cafe latte button, dimensionals.

Thank You Boys

This morning I have been busy making Thank You cards. One card that I needed was for my fabulous neighbor boys, Brandon and Darren, who are more family than friends. They used their own money to purchase a birthday gift for me.  What caring and wonderful boys! They are 9 and 12 so I needed a teen themed thank you and came up with this card.

Stamps - Extreme Elements
Ink - Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso
Paper - Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Star Die #2, Dimensionals, brad, mat pack
