The Butterfly and the Bee

I have been on a bit of a romantic kick lately with all the flowers, ribbon, pearls, bees and butterflies. I am creating samples of my work for our school auction this Saturday and will be adding a thank you note, banner ( just one) and a party favor to this card. My donation is hand crafted paper items for parties so I wanted to provide a visual. I think next week I am going to have to revisit clean and simple.

Stamps - Nature Walk, Friends 24/7, French Foliage,  En Francais, Sincere Salutations
Ink - basic grey, so saffron, pink pirouette, baja breeze
Paper - Newsprint DSP, very vanilla, craft and blushing bride card stock

Stamp Club Card

This is the card we made for our stamp club this evening. It was my original idea that I changed up for Valentine card in the last post. It turned out quite different than what I had imagined, but I am still waiting for my Nestabilites order. Everyone loved learning how to make the quilled flowers and as always is was fabulous to get together with stamping friends.

Ink - pretty in pink, so saffron, basic gray
Paper - whisper white, so saffron, pretty in pink card stock
Accessories - 1 3/8", 1/3/4" circle punches, pretty in pink satin ribbon, decorative label punch, dimensionals, glue dots, Perfect polka dots embossing folder, scallop border punch

Stampin' Celebration #38 and Paper Players

For our stamping club tomorrow we will be making a card similar to this, but in very soft feminine colors. When I was putting the card together I started thinking about how it would look in bold colors and came up with this version. They also happen to be in inspiration colors for this week's Stampin' Celebration Challenge.   I am in a flowery mood these days so I created some more quilled rosettes and stamped some musical notes for a very romantic Valentine card. MMM - flowers, music, all we need is some wine and perhaps a bit of chocolate. Romance is the theme at the  Paper Players challenge this week so I thought this would be appropriate for that challenge as well.   I was in a hurry to complete this card before the Superbowl, so unfortunately, there is red glitter everywhere in my craft closet. Now I'm off to clean up the glittery mess:)

Stamps - Friends 24-7, Holiday Best(retired)
Ink - Basic Black Real red
Paper - whisper white, real red and basic black card stock
Accessoires - real red satin ribbon, scallop border punch, circle and scallop dies, Perfect Polka-dot embossing folder, real red glitter, glue dots

Christmas Tag

Here is the tag I created for our stamping group. I have been wanting to try my hand at the folded flower and had this design in my head for a while.  Even though the picture doesn't show all the detail, the branch is accented with white flock and a bit of dazzling diamonds to look like snow.  I think this tag would be the perfect holiday tag for a nice bottle of wine.

Stamps - Friends 24-7, Four the Holidays, Stampin' Around Music Notes
Ink - Staz-on black, cherry cobbler, old olive, chocolate chip, more mustard
Paper - Jolly Holiday, Love Letter DSP, very vanilla, cherry cobbler, black card stock
Accessories - Glass Glitter, flock, dazzling diamonds glitter, large brad, cherry cobbler seam binding, 1 3/8" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, scallop border punch

PPA40 Monochromatic Blue

This weeks PPA challenge is to use any color of blue for a monochromatic project. I have been thinking about doing a soft romantic card with flowers and a monochromatic scheme with the En Francais background stamp. This week's challenge fit the bill and I choose bashful blue to work with. A pretty card must have some Stampin' Up! pretties so I used the pearls and flowers from the Pretties Kit for a romantic touch. Flowers - pearls - ribbon - very romantic.

Paper - bashful blue and whisper white card stock
Stamps - En Francais, Friends 24/7, Sincere Salutations
Ink - bashful blue and basic black
Accessories - Pretties Kit, Finial Press embossing folder, whisper white ribbon, scallop  trim border punch
