Freshly Made Sketches and Paper Players - Sympathy Card

Unfortunately my neighbor passed away this week after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She and her husband were such an inspiration to me and my friends. We would see them walking each day hand in hand enjoying their time together in retirement. We would all remark how we hope we will be doing the same thing - enjoying outings and holding hands with our husbands.

I made this card using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches - I will also post it on the Paper Players challenge which features a flower themed challenge.

Stamps - Simply Soft, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink - Stazon black, marina mist, baja breeze, pear pizzazz, wild wasabi, sahara sand
Paper - Pocketful of Posies DSP, very vanilla, not quite navy card stock
Accessories - Oval dies, Square Lattice embossing folder, dimensionals

The Cards We Hate to Make

Most of the time it is such a pleasure to make a card, but at other times we do so with a heavy heart. Unfortunately, I have had to make two sympathy cards this week and found that I really haven't purchased a good stamp for these sad occasions. Luckily we have the option to download or purchase digital stamps. I was able to find this lovely sentiment free from Raindrop Echo Designs. I found this sentiment perfect for the papers I had in mind for a dear friend who lost a family member this week.

Paper - My Minds Eye Stella Rose Hattie, Bazzill Basics Candlewax, Simon, Stampin' Up very vanilla
Stamp - Digi-Stamp from Raindrop Echo Designs Sympathy Sentiments Set
Accessories - Stampin' Up! chantilly crochet lace, paper daisy, playground button, linen thread, vintage trinkets.
