Color Q Challenge 38 - A crazy quilt

I love the colors in this weeks ColorQ Challenge ( bordering blue, kiwi kiss, pumpkin pie, riding hood red) Since I have put away my retired colors, I substituted Marina Mist and Old Olive. I have had the idea of a colorful quilt running around in my head so I thought I would apply it to this challenge. Keeping with the textile theme, I accented the card with a striped ribbon and a few buttons.  I am very happy with the crazy, bright quilt card.

Stamps - Elelments of Style, Friends 24-7, Artistic Etchings, Vintage Labels
Inks - pumpkin pie, marina mist, riding hood red, old olive, basic black
Paper - whisper white and pumpkin pie card stock
Accessories - matt pack, white thread, square tag, pumpkin pie striped ribbon, dimensionals

No Stamping and a lot of dust on Father's Day.

making a low catch

Megan and her personal water boy

We spent this last weekend at Megan's All Star Softball Tournament in Sylmar. It was a long dusty weekend with the girls finishing their final game at 4:00 on Sunday afternoon. They took 2nd place in the tournament and we were very proud of the way they played. Megan usually plays catcher but also took her spot at first base. After a long weekend she was ready to get home, relax and stare at her trophy. I am very proud of my beautiful All-Star ( and the water boy too)

We made it home in time to take dad out for a nice Father's Day dinner so he could relax after all the pacing over the weekend:)
