Sweet Sketch Wednesday - OOOPS I need a card for an apology.

The Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge afforded me a great design for this card. I was a real bone head and need to make an apology. Since it is going to a gentlemen, I used somewhat masculine colors and the always versatile Trendy Trees. I think this design would work well for a sympathy card as well.

Paper - Sweet Pea DSP, chocolate chip, kraft, bashful blue, so saffron, whisper white card stock
Stamps - Trendy Trees, In a Word
Ink - So Saffron, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - square lattice embossing folder, chocolate chip double stitched ribbon, button, linen thread, dimensionals, circle dies, corner rounder punch

PPA33 - Color Challenge - A Simple Thank You

This weeks PPA challenge is a color challenge. Quite a difficult one for me since it does not include Old Olive - my go-to green.  I thought I would keep it simple and use the layout we used this weekend for my Stamp-A-Stack class. I originally found the layout in Papercrafts magazine. I like the clean simple look and it's super quick to make. I used this simple layout with one of the most versatile stamp sets, Trendy Trees.  A little butterfly adds a bit of dimension to this simple, easy card.

Paper - kraft, whisper white, garden green card stock, certainly celery patterns designer series paper.
Stamps - Trendy Trees, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink - garden green, chocolate chip
Accessories - Beautiful Wings embosslit die ( love, love, love this), spiral and corner round punches

Mojo104 - Mojo Monday - Fall Colors and Trendy Trees

Even though the trunk of the red tree looks a bit off in the photo, it matches when seen from the front.
I am enjoying the challenges from various design groups to inspire new card creations. It is really giving me some new and fresh ideas. Here is a card I created with one of the most versatile stamp sets, Trendy Trees. I stamped the foliage in real red, crushed curry and old olive. Trunks were stamped in chocolate chip. I stamped extra red and curry foliage to cut out and mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension to 2 trees. I created the polka dot background paper using the circles from Big Bold Birthday ( I think they're supposed to be chocolate chips - but they are polka dots now) and stamped them in crushed curry and real red and mounted them with chocolate chip and more mustard card stock. All the circles were die cut on the Big Shot using the circles die cut - whisper white, chocolate chip and more mustard. I also used the Big Shot texture plates to create embossed polka dots on the real red background paper. Corners were punched using the 1/2" circle punch. The lines on the real red paper were drawn with the chocolate chip stampin' write. The card was finished with buttons from the button latte collection. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T USE RIBBON! I wanted to use the real red polka-dot ribbon but it was too much.
