Even though the trunk of the red tree looks a bit off in the photo, it matches when seen from the front.I am enjoying the challenges from various design groups to inspire new card creations. It is really giving me some new and fresh ideas. Here is a card I created with one of the most versatile stamp sets, Trendy Trees. I stamped the foliage in real red, crushed curry and old olive. Trunks were stamped in chocolate chip. I stamped extra red and curry foliage to cut out and mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension to 2 trees. I created the polka dot background paper using the circles from Big Bold Birthday ( I think they're supposed to be chocolate chips - but they are polka dots now) and stamped them in crushed curry and real red and mounted them with chocolate chip and more mustard card stock. All the circles were die cut on the Big Shot using the circles die cut - whisper white, chocolate chip and more mustard. I also used the Big Shot texture plates to create embossed polka dots on the real red background paper. Corners were punched using the 1/2" circle punch. The lines on the real red paper were drawn with the chocolate chip stampin' write. The card was finished with buttons from the button latte collection. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T USE RIBBON! I wanted to use the real red polka-dot ribbon but it was too much.
